The tinned annealed copper cable is resistant to many damaging elements like heat, moisture, and mechanical effects. It is used in areas where flame retardancy is needed and where additional protection comes in handy. The wire has found usage in nuclear generating plants, steel mills, petrochemical refineries, and in mining. It is used for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Applications :
• ULTROL® 60+ power cable is a 600 V dual wall, insulated single conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated wire construction specifically designed for applications in nuclear generating stations and where additional jacket protection is required
• For use in Class 1E low-voltage power and lighting functions where optimum performance is required and where flame retardancy is critical May be installed in trays, conduit, ducts, or direct buried
• The dual wall conductor can be used in high voltage power distributions and controls, especially in nuclear generating stations. It has also seen great usage in low voltage power as well as lighting application where there is need for optimal performance and resistance on flame. During installations, it can be installed in underground ducts, trays, direct burials, and in conduits.

Insulation :
• Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture- and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE)
• Color Code: White
• An insulation material made of cross-linked polyethylene insulates the conductor wire making it more resistance to heat, moisture, as well as radiation. The thermoset insulation is also flame retardant meaning the cable can be used in areas that experience high heat such as in petrochemical refineries and nuclear power generation plants.

Jacketing :
• Flame-retardant, moisture-, oil-, sunlight and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) — Black
• To add more protection, the cable is jacketed using a cross-linked polyolefin material. This thermoset material offers more protection from oil, sunlight, flame, and moisture intrusion. This means that the wire can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments where there are harsh conditions including heat, radiation, and extreme low temperatures.
