Product Details
Paired size 20 AWG through 14 AWG copper conductors are annealed and tinned, making them soft and flexible. They are insulated with XLPO which is numerically printed in black and white color coding for identification. The pairs are shielded with aluminum foil or a polymer tape. A draining wire made of tinned copper wire is longitudinally bonded on the conductors and cabled with a binding tape to form the core. Tis cable is jacketed armored and sheathed.
Standards and Approvals
1.IEEE 1202
2.API - RP14F
3.Mud oil-resistant
4.IEC 60092-350
5.CSA C22.2 No. 245 Type X110
Features
Separate cross linked polyolefin insulation of the conductors from the draining wires improves the electrical conductivity of this cable. It creates a boundary between them preventing any contacts that would cause power faults. Insulation of the cable also keeps the handler safe and the cable as well, by preventing it from chemical and mechanical damages.
Shielding of the conductors prevents them from direct mechanical stress attacks, and also maintains the circular phase identification of the cable preventing it from collapsing.
Applications
1.The cable is used in offshore oil & gas drilling rigs, ships, MODUs and FPSOs
2.In the land-based (onshore) oil and gas drills
3.Used in Class 1, Division 1 and Zone 1 Dangerous locations when installed as per API-RP14F
