Prysmian Low Voltage AIRGUARD™ VFD Cable 600V

VFD Power Cable soft drawn copper conductors are insulated with XLP as per UL-44. XLP insulation offers protection to the conductors against heat and moisture damage. Insulated conductors are wrapped with an extruded filler belt and then twisted together with a grounding wire to form an assembly. This assembly is shielded with a metallic tape which holds the conductors firmly together and armored by a polymeric airbag that is sheathed with a thermoplastic material.

The cross linked polyethylene (XLP) insulation ensures no contact between the copper conductors and the grounding wire, thus improving the power conductivity of the cable. Emi shield and the extruded filler belt both ensures that the phase identification of the core is held firmly in place, hence keeping the conductors away from overlapping each other.
