Product Details
AAR cable is made of a soft stranded copper that is tin plated as per ASTM B33. Tin plating makes it easy for this cable to get soldered apart from enhancing protection against corrosion and oxidation. The conductors are insulated with an EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) in accordance to AAR standards of 591. Cable insulation is very important as it seal the live wire and the neutral wire from getting into contact. EPR is protective from oil, moisture and heat. AAR copper conductors are separated by a polyester tape and jacketed with CSPE.
Areas of Applications
CSPE (chlorosulfonated polyethylene) jacketing makes the cable moisture resistant, flame retardant as well as other corrosive chemicals. For this reason, it is installed in diesel or electric traction wheels’ application.
