Prysmian and Draka Cable 14 AWG Bostrig Type P Multi-Conductor Unarmored 600V Control Cable

The soft annealed copper conductors of this cable are covered with separating polyester tape, holding the multi conductors together forming a circular core. This core is then encased with a polyolefin insulation that is cross linked in accordance to IEEE 1580. A flame retardant and thermosetting chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is used to jacket this cable making it durable.

Conductor & insulation
Annealed copper conductors are soft and malleable making this cable flexible and easy to handle as compared to stiff and rigid cables. Flexible Type P Bostrig cable require less termination time and can easily be lifted and folded during installation without difficulty. The XLPO insulation protects the user form electric shocks when handling it as well as keeping the cable safe from harsh marine environmental conditions.

Jacketing
The Chlorinated Polyethylene thermosetting jacket is flame resistant and do not succumb to burning easily in case of fire outbreaks. CPE layer is the outer covering of this cable that keeps it safe from cuttings or any king of deformations that it may get subjected to during and after installations.

Applications
This is a control cable that is intended to serve in marine environments especially in offshore and onshore drilling facilities. It has an operational power voltage rating of up to 600 volts at temperatures ranging within -40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius, which makes it perform even in the cold locations.
