A tinned copper or nickel-coated copper wire made to be used in high voltage, high temperature applications. The tin coated copper wire product has excellent corrosion resistance, easy solder ability, and excellent thermal performance at temperature up to 200 degrees. In temperature reaching 250 degrees, the nickel coated copper wire is the most applicable. Both nickel and tin offer good resistance to corrosion. These coatings also help enhance the electrical conductivity of the copper wire, especially at high temperatures.
Applications
• For use in operations of up to 250 degrees and applications needing up to 10 KVDC power
• Used in aviation, iron, aluminum, steel, glass, iron, pyrometallurgical and petrochemical plants.
• Ideal for use in gas spark ignitors
• This cable can be used in applications for wiring gas ignitors. It is used to provide wiring for cooking range appliance, gas powered water heaters, heating and cooling units, furnaces, electronic high voltage ignitors and spark ignitors.
Insulation
• Composite Extruded Silicone Rubber with intermediate fiberglass reinforcement
• An extruded silicone rubber insulator with fiberglass reinforcement is used to insulate the wire. This insulation is resistant to elements like moisture, UV light, heat, ozone, low temperature exposure, and oxidation, and corrosion. The reinforcement of the silicone rubber with fiberglass offer more stability to the cable.
Characteristics
• Outperforms Braided Silicone products
• Smaller OD, lighter weight, tighter bend radius. (200C/7.5kv and 200C/10kV)
• Durable outer jacket. (200C/7.5kv and 200C/10kV)
• Eliminates braid fraying, flowering and shrink back
• Virtually eliminates skin irritation
• Significantly reduces airborne fiberglass contaminants traditionally found in high volume processing
• Superior flexibility
• Color stable at elevated temperatures
• Low smoke
• Specially formulated outer silicone jacket greatly enhances abrasion resistance. (200C/7.5kv and 200C/10kV)
• Suitable for varnish dip and bake applications. (200C/7.5kv and 200C/10kV)
• Silicone formulations suitable for UV, ozone, moisture exposure. Not suited for immersed applications
• Suitable for applications in low temperatures down to -60°C.
