Its multi conductors are insulated with a polyvinyl chloride, wrapped with a binding tape and then jacketed with a clear nylon. This cable is designed and manufactured to operate in marine environment where punishing conditions are expected. The cable comes in four types; C16T/NT, C16T/NTA, C16T/NTB and C16(OS)T/NT. Type C16T/NTA is armored with aluminum interlocking strip whereas Type 16T/NTB is armored with bronze. There are multi stranded counts on this cable making it flexible and vibration resistant.

Features

1.Conductor
This cable has many stranded conductor counts making it flexible and protecting it against strong vibrational waves in the marine environments. Flexible cables are easy to handle and install as they require less effort as compared to stiff and rigid cables.

2.Insulation
It is insulated with PVC that ensures the life of the user and the cable is not at risk. PVC s non-conducting layer that do not allow the flow of electric currents thus keeping the user safe from electric shocks when installing the cable. Copper conductors and the draining wires are separated by PVC insulation on the conductors preventing contacts between them that may cause power faults and blows hence improving the electrical conductivity of this cable.

3.Jacketing & Armor
The conductors are wrapped in a binding tape holding them together in a circular core, limiting overlapping and then jacketed with the clear nylon for protection. Nylon provide resilient resistance to heat, ozone, oil, abrasion and oxidation. This type of seacoast 16AWG power cable is also armored with either bronze or aluminum, which enhances protection against chemical and mechanical damages.

Applications
This cable can withstand wet and dry locations and is meant for use in wiring alarms, video surveillance, fire and gas detectors.
