Product Details

The cable is made of tinned and annealed concentrically stranded copper conductors as per IEC 60228 Class II standards. Copper conductors are insulated with an ethylene propylene rubber which is wrapped with mica tape. Conductors can be paired, triad or twisted in quads. They are color coded and wrapped in polyester tape to hold them together, and screened with the draining wire by a copper backed polyester tape. Draining wire is also made of tinned copper. The conductors have numerical printings on their insulation.

Features
Inner covering is flame retardant due to the thermoplastic EPR, which is halogen free. The inner cover is taped over by a PET of rubberized polyamide which helps in maintaining the conductors in their positions by preventing overlapping.

Conductor
Copper conductors are insulated separately from the draining wire to prevent any contacts between them, which would cause power surges. This improves the electrical conductivity of the cable.

The cable is armored or screened by the galvanized braided steel wire for maximum protection from mechanical damages, and corrosive industrial chemicals.

Applications
This is an instrumentation cable with an operational voltage rating at 300 volts. It is desirable for installations in marine oil drills, or locations that are exposed to flames.
