PASP Cable is a solid insulated, double jacket, armored air core design intended for use in outside cable plant where a greater risk of physical damage exists. The inner jacket provides protection to the cable core in the event of severe damage to the outer protective sheath.

Conductors are insulated with solid polyolefin indistinctive colors to facilitate pair identification

Pairs are combined into a cylindrical core

Multiples of 25-pair groups are assembled to form thefinal cable core; each group is identified by color codednon-hygroscopic binders; for 1,200-pair and larger, thecolor code is a Mirror Image design

Corrugated bare 8 mil aluminum tape appliedlongitudinally over the inner jacket

Armor:
Corrugated, copolymer coated, 6 mil steel tape applied overthe aluminum shield; armor is bonded to the outer jacket

Outer Jacket:
Black polyethylene

Jacket Marking:
Manufacturer’s identification, pair count, AWG, productidentification, sequential footage and a telephonehandset printed at 2 foot intervals
