Product Details
Its copper conductors are insulated with a non-plenum polyolefin insulation. UTP refers to unshielded twisted pairs; this simply means that the conductors of this cable are twisted together in pairs with no shield. A separating cross-web is applied longitudinally along the insulated conductors and wrapped round the core with a barrier tape. The assembly is then shielded with an aluminum foil and laid with a stranded tinned draining wire. Draining wire is also known as the grounding wire acting as a neutral path. This cable is jacketed with a non-plenum PVC for protection.
Standard Compliances
1.NEC/CEC Type CMR for Non-Plenum (UL 1666)
2.ANSI/TIA 568-C 2
3.ICEA S-116-732 and S-102-700
4.UL 444, RoHS Compliant Directive 2011/65/EU
5.ISO/IEC 11801 class E
You need this cable because:
The superb polyolefin insulation and PVC jacketing compounds, which offers a great protection to the cable against harsh environmental conditions. Insulation of electrical cables is very important as it carries the life of the user and the cable at hand; the user is freed from electrical shocks whereas the cable is protected from both chemical and mechanical damages for insulated cables like GenSpeed Cat 6 F/UTP Cable.
Live copper conductors are insulated and separated from the bare draining wire by the cross-web, barrier tape and polyester aluminum foil shielding. Foil shielding reduces electromagnetic disturbances for optimal performance. Live conductors should not get into any contact with the bare draining wires, and this is well taken care of in GenSpeed Cat 6 F/UTP Cable whereby the electrodes are insulated with a semi-conducting polyolefin compound inhibiting further contacts by the neutral conductor, which may lead to power blows and faults.
Applications
This GenSpeed Cat 6 F/UTP Cable is meant to serve at frequencies not exceeding 250MHz. It is applied in ATMs, CDDI, Token Ring wirings, Digital video, Broadband and Baseband Analog videos.
