These are made of tinned copper conductors with a cross linked polyethylene insulation, which is shielded with a braided tinned copper. A binder tape is applied round the core of this cable holding the copper conductors together and then jacketed with a polyolefin. This cablesare armored with a braided aluminum strip for protection in the demanding marine conditions.
Features
Double shields offer an additional protection to the cables by controlling the amount of stress acting on the cable. Shielding also ensures smooth transmission of signals without interference.
Polyolefin jacketing layer and the braided aluminum armor protects the cable from chemical damages and deformations. Armored Seacoast cable are cost effective since they do not require other traditional armors. They are also easy to install as they offer self-support.
Applications
This cable is in military marine applications like ships, submarines and amphibian planes.
