General Cable Instrumentation Cable Multi-Conductor 600V VW-1 ULTROL® 60+

These instrumentations tinned annealed copper cables are designed for enhanced performance through different protection mechanisms including insulation, jacketing, and shielding. They are Class B stranding and have great resistance to environmental factors like heat and moisture. The Multi-Conductor 600V tray cables are designed to ensure top performance in even harsh conditions. The jacketing and insulation combinations allow these cables to be ideal for use in location deemed to have high risk of fire or areas that experience extremely low temperatures.

Applications :
• ULTROL® 60+ instrumentation cable is a 600 V multi-conductor, thermoset, Class 1E rated construction specifically designed for applications in nuclear generating stations and where flame retardancy is critical
• For use in Class 1E monitoring data recording and transmitting information on low energy circuits where shielding from external electrostatic interference is not required Can be installed in trays, conduit, ducts, or in direct burial applications.
• In areas where flame retardancy is needed, these cables can work well such as in nuclear generating facilities, petro chemical industries, and in mining. These conductors also work well in areas where there is no need for shielding or protection from interference caused by external electrostatic. You can install them in ducts, conduits, trays, and are used for direct burial.

Insulation :
• Flame-retardant, heat-, moisture- and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyethylene (FR-XLPE)
• Color code: Per ICEA Method 1, Table E-1
• The Multi-Conductor 600VInstrumentation Cable has an insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene for enhanced protection from environmental factors like heat, radiation, flame, and moisture penetration.

Jacketing :
• Flame-retardant, moisture-, oil-, sunlight-, and radiation-resistant, thermoset ULTROL® 60+ Cross-linked Polyolefin (XLPO) — Black
• The jacketing protection layer is made of cross-linked polyolefin material, which is considered highly resistant to moisture, oil, sunlight, fire, as well as radiation. The jacketing material goes through a special treatment to make sure that once the process of cross linking is over, and the material is again exposed to heat, it will not drip, flow, or melt. This is what makes it to be called a thermoset.
