Military designed marine cables are almost constructed the same, as they have similar copper conductors even though their insulation and jacketing materials differs. Well, this could be the only difference determining their differences when it comes to installation applications. Bostrail Traction cable has EPR as the primary insulation and cross linked polyolefin jacketing. It is tested and approved as a top quality cable as per Underwriters Laboratory (UL) specification standards which includes: UL RHW-2, ICEA S-95-658, UL 1581 Vertical Tray.
Applications
As the name suggests, Traction cable is designed for use as traction power cable in high voltage applications of up to 2000 volts at an optimum temperature of 90 degrees Celsius. It is therefore a recommended cable of choice when it comes marine military installation applications.
