This is a high temperature, high voltage lead wire made using stranded tin coated or nickel plated copper. The cable is insulated with a quality insulator and fiberglass reinforcement for excellent thermal performance, resistance to heat, flame, moisture, and other elements like UV light and ozone. It is made to work in environments experiencing high temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius and in applications that demand up to 10KVAC power. The fiberglass reinforcement on the extruded silicone rubber insulator makes the cable outperform braided silicone cable products. A nickel coating on the copper ensures greater performance in temperature exceeding 250degrees Celsius. The tin-coated version of the copper cable can only work effectively up to temperatures of 200 degrees Celsius. Nickel has excellent thermal performance properties compared to tin.
Applications
• For use in high voltage connections and circuits in environments exhibiting high temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius
Ideal for use in gas spark ignitors
• The cable can be used to wire gas ignition circuits for equipment like furnaces, HVAC units, range top burners, and gas water heaters. It may also be used to wire electronic high voltage ignitors as well as piezoelectric spark ignitors.
Insulation
• Composite Extruded Silicone Rubber with intermediate fiberglass reinforcement
• This insulation material is resistant to high temperature. It can resist flames, UV light, heat, and also moisture. The fiberglass reinforcement ensures tensile strength and allows for more protection of the cable. It also resists chemicals and solvents as well as mechanical abuse.
Characteristics
• Outperforms Braided Silicone products
• Intermediate fiberglass reinforcement
• Eliminates braid fraying, flowering and shrink back
• Eliminates dermatitis
• Significantly reduces airborne fiberglass contaminants traditionally found in high volume processing
• Superior flexibility
• Color stable at elevated temperatures
• LSZH - Low Smoke Zero Halogen Silicone formulations
• Suitable for UV, ozone or moisture exposure
• Not suited for liquid immersed applications
• Suitable for applications down to -60°C
