Product Details
The soft copper conductor of this cable is longitudinally bonded with a semi-conducting shield and then insulated with the cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) as per the ICEA S-97-682 standard and is also bonded with a shield. Compressed copper conductors are in line with ASTM B-3 and B-8 standards. Insulated copper assembly is shielded with wires and jacketed with a polyvinyl chloride compound, which is flame retardant and resistant to strong sunlight radiations.
Additional Standards
1.NEMA WC74
2.ICEA CS8
3.Federal Specification J-C30B
Why go for this Cable?
XLP insulation ensures your safety as well as the safety of the cable. It protects you from unnecessary electric shocks when handling the cable. Imagine getting into contact with a bare wire transmitting electric power? You will agree with me that you are likely to get electrocuted. XLP protects the cable from attacks due to harsh environmental conditions such as abrasions, corrosive chemicals, moisture, oils and harsh sunlight radiations. PVC also protects the cable from harsh environmental conditions thus making this cable a reliable and top performing cable of choice.
Applications
15kV Type MV-90 Single Conductor cable is meant for use in 90 degrees Celsius conditions as a continuous operation approved by UL and at 130 degrees Celsius for the emergencies in the overload conditions, whereas 250 degrees Celsius for use as a short circuiting wire. It is applied in industrial and commercial wiring systems and is installed through direct burial, conduits and aerial method.
