Product Details
A conductor made of tinned copper and which is used for marine environment applications. A tin coat strengthens the copper conductor, and improves its conductivity. The plating also reduces oxidation because tin does not oxidize. It also reduces corrosivity while at the same time preventing additional wear and tear. This cable is designed for high speed data transmissions. Tin coating on the copper conductor also makes it more resilient to breakage and lost connections. It increases the shelf life of the conductor and ensures its effectiveness in extremely humid areas.
Applications
• For high-speed data transmission
• The flexible stranded conductor cable has found extensive use in transmission of data within marine environments. The cable can transmit data captured in systems such as the fire and gas detectors, tank level indicators, CO2 systems, smoke detection systems, and communication systems.
Insulation
• Polyolefin
• A polyolefin insulation material provides protection to the conductor. This insulation material is fire retardant, free of halogen, and is resistant to chemical, fire, and ultraviolet rays.
Jacketing
• Irradiated cross-linked polyolefin
• A flame retardant irradiated cross-linked polyolefin provides additional protection to the primary insulation. The low smoke jacketing material is also resistant to UV light, chemical, as well as fire.
Inner and outer shield : For enhanced protection of the conductor, it has both inner and outer shields. The inner shield is made of aluminum backed polyester tape to provide 100 percent coverage. The outer shield is made of tinned copper braid that offers 95 percent coverage.
Features
• Meets Category 5e electrical
• Compliance- TIA/EIA 568-C.2 Patch
