Product Details
Type MV-150-LS power cable features soft compressed Class B copper as per ASTM B-3 and stranded Class B copper in accordance to ASTM B-8, shielded with a thermosetting semi-conductor. It is insulated with an Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) meeting the standards of ICEA S-97-682 Type III bonded with an insulation shielding. The assembly of this cable is then covered with an uncoated copper tape that has a 25% overlapping edge as per ICEA S-97-682 and jacketed with a polyolefin compound.
Standards and Approvals
1.AEIC C5-8
2.IEEE 383 70,000 BTU/hr flame test
3.IEEE 120270000 BTU/hr flame test
4.UL Standard 1685 70,000 BTU/hr flame and smoke release
This cable is approved by OSHA after meeting all the above listed specification standards and branded as quality power cable.
Why go for this Cable?
It comes with soft copper conductors that makes it flexible and a light weight power cable. Cables with such attributes will give you easy time to handle because you don’t need to incur huge cost of labor since you can easily carry the cable, pull it and bend it along the corners of your wiring systems with less effort.
Ethylene Propylene Rubber insulation protects the cable from environmental damages such as wear and tear, that mainly occurs during installation. EPR keeps the cable from abrasion, corrosive chemicals and moisture. Insulation of power cables also ensures that you don’t get electrocuted. This cable is shielded to control stress acting on the copper conductors as well as the insulation. The Low Smoke Zero Halogen Polyolefin jacketing is a sunlight and flame resistant layer making this cable an ideal cable of choice, that produces less smoke in case of fire outbreaks.
Applications
1 Gauge Power Cable is designed and manufactured for applications of power circuiting in steel mills, chemical plants, refineries, commercial buildings, industrial firms, utility and generating substations. This cable can be installed through direct burial, open air, ducts, conduit systems and cable trays.
