Product Details

This is a soft annealed tinned copper stranded conductor for use in marine environments. It is made for high temperature, high voltage applications. A tin coating on the wire makes it ideal for use in high temperature. Tin also resist corrosion and oxidation. The wire has good thermal performance and can be soldered for easy application. For use in operations demanding voltage of 0.6 to 1KV.

Applications
• Designed and constructed for the demanding environments of offshore drilling and petroleum facilities
• It is used to wire indicating communication systems, electronic systems, and other similar circuits that are there are demanding marine conditions. It is used in wiring detections systems, driller’s console, ballast controls, and video camera installations within the drilling locations.

Insulation
• Flame retardant cross-linked polyolefin
• An insulation material made of cross-linked polyolefin is used to protect the wire. The material is not only resistant to fire and UV light but also resistant to chemicals. It is also fire halogen free meaning it will not produce toxic gases when it is subjected to heat or flame.

Jacket
• Arctic grade PVC
• An arctic grade PVC is used to provide a jacket to the conductor. This material is abrasion resistant, oil resistant, flame retardant, and chemical resistant. It is also resistant to sunlight.

Features
• High strand count conductors make this product extremely flexible, easier to install and more resistant to vibration than Type MC, IEC spec or commercial cables.
• Lower dielectric constant and higher insulation resistance reduces electrical losses.
• Excellent resistance to moisture produces stable electrical properties throughout the life of the cable.
• In fire conditions, non-chlorinated flame retardant system produces less toxic and less corrosive gasses.
• Dual certified IEEE 1580 Type P and UL 1309/CSA C22.2 No. 245 Type X110.
• Highest ampacity ratings: ABS 100°C, DNV 95°C, LRS 95°C, Transport Canada 95°C
• Severe cold durability: exceeds CSA cold bend/cold impact (-40/-35° C)
• Flame retardant: IEC 60332-3 Category A and IEEE 1202
