Product Details

A fully annealed tin coated copper conductor that has flexible strands. The transit conductor cable is designed for use in marine environments. It’s tin coating allows it to last for long. It improves its level of conductivity and reduces chances of corroding. Tin coating helps prevent oxidation and improves the strength of the conductor. Also, tin plating enhances the effectives of this conductor in humid areas. It reduces the wear and tear that is likely to occur on bare copper wires.

Applications
• Power cable for marine equipment
• This conductor cable is used as power cable to provide wiring for wind turbine generators. It is also used in diesel electric locomotives and in mining and earth moving equipment.

Insulation
• cross-linked Ethylene Propylene (EP)
• A flame retardant and lead-free cross-linked ethylene propylene is used to provide primary insulation. A separator tape is used over the conductor that facilitates stripping. Cross-linked Ethylene Propylene rubber (EPR) has excellent thermal and electrical properties. Where used as an insulator, it allows smaller cross-sectional area. It has wide usage in high voltage cables. This insulation material is flexible and this is one of the reasons why it is used in mining and marine rig applications. EPR is resistance to heat, weathering, alcohol, oxidation, water, alkali, and acid.

Jacketing
• Cross-linked Chlorinated Polyethylene (XL-CPE)
• A jacketing material made of cross-linked chlorinated polyethylene is used to offer protection to the primary insulation. XL-CPE is resistant to ozone, oil, sunlight, and flame. The XL-CPE used in this conductor is lead free.

Features
• Rated 90°C wet or dry per UL 44/CSA C.22.2-38
• Flexible tinned copper stranding
• Excellent resistance to oils, gear lubricants, ozone, sunlight, heat and flame
• Designed to withstand continuous flexing
