This nickel coated, soft annealed copper wire is made to provide wiring for applications and environments exhibiting high temperatures. It is used in wiring equipments like oven that can have high temperatures reaching 538 degrees Celsius. The nickel coat makes the wire to resist corrosion and have excellent electrical conductivity. Nickel does not corrode and it has good thermal properties.

Applications
• For use in very high temperature environments for wiring in ovens or other high temperature equipment in applications up to 538°C
• UL listed per UL Style 5107 for applications up to 450°C.
• This stranded soft annealed copper wire with a nickel coating can perform well in extremely high temperatures. It is used to wire commercial food service equipment including ovens, boilers, cooking ranges, stoves, and heaters. It can also be used in kilns, heat-treating furnaces, and in cartridge or band heaters. The lead wire has been designed for extreme high temperature industrial heating and appliance lead wiring.

Insulation
• Glass-reinforced mica tapes
• Glass reinforced mica insulation tapes are used to protect the cable. Mica tapes are chemically inert, lightweight, flexible and dielectric. The material has good stability when exposed to moisture, heat, UV light, and extreme temperatures. It has good thermal performance and resistant to chemical attack. A mica tape consisting of a glass scrim backing offer more mechanical strength for the insulation. Although it is rated 450 degrees Celsius by UL, it can still resist temperatures higher than that. This insulation has great radiation and moisture resistance. It can withstand hard thermal and electrical overloads.

Jacketing
• Impregnated glass braid
• A jacketing material made of impregnated glass braid with a flame, abrasion, heat, and moisture resistant finish is used to cover the cable. This protects the cable from elements like moisture damage, heat, mechanical forces, and flame damage.
