This is ABS Type approved unshielded cable meant for speaker and control wiring systems. The cable is meant for permanent installation in ceilings, conduits, walls or shipboards.It is made of tinned copper conductors which are stranded and insulated with polypropylene. Jacketing layer is made of Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen polyolefin for protection.

Conductor’s size
Stranded tinned copper conductors can be of size 12 AWG or 14 AWG. Whereby 12 AWG has a diameter size of 18.6 mm and 9.8 mm. 14 AWG on the other hand measures 7.6 mm and 8.65 mm.

Conductor’s workability
The annealed and tinned copper conductors makes the cable easy to install as well as improving the service life. Annealing ensures that the conductors are soft and flexible enough, succumbing to folds and bends during installation. Tinning protects them from corrosive chemicals since they are oxidative resistant.

Insulation
Polypropylene insulation is flame retardant, non-conducting and environmental friendly. This is because it lacks halogens which are highly flammable and releases less smoke to the environment. It does not subject the life of the user to electric shocks because it is non-conducting. Insulation is color coded black, red, white and green for identity.

Jacket
The flame retardant polyolefin jacketing is black color coded for easy identification. It is the outer layer of the cable which offers uttermost chemical and mechanical protection, ensuring that the cable performs at an operational temperature rating of -20⁰C to 75⁰C.
