Copper wire is used as the conductor in this cable. Its copper conductor is a bit larger due to its high voltage rating. The copper wire is also stranded to increase flexibility. Chemically cross-linked polyethylene is used as the insulator and as hinted earlier this material is robust which makes the cable durable.
