General Cable EmPowr® 25 kV Copper Wire PVC Jacket Link and Shielded Power Cable Al Conductor TRXLPE Insulation

Product Details

25kV TRXLPE power cable comes with a concentric lay stranded aluminum 1350 Class B conductors shielded with a lead free semi-conducting and thermosetting polymeric compound, which is responsible for stress control. TRXLPE insulation is applied round the shield to form a core that is closely shielded with the lead free semi-conductor. The assembly is then covered with a corrugated copper tape that is applied longitudinally and jacketed with the Linear Low Density Polyethylene compound. TRXLPE refers to Tree Retardant Cross-Linked Polyethylene.

Consider this Cable because:
The 25kV TRXLPE cable is made of lead free semi-conducting shields, which do not permit the transfer of electric power. Lead elements are highly flammable and cables that are made of lead free shields are flame retardant. Class B aluminum 1350 conductors offers a great electrical conductivity to this cable because they are flexible and easy to install with a fast power distribution technique. TRXLPE insulation protects 25kV TRXLPE cable from water treeing and still provides a high dielectric strength.

Triple extrusions of this cable make a clean interface that facilitates contraction and expansion of this cable. The corrugated copper tape holds the conductors firmly in their position to avoid overlapping thus improving the electrical conductivity of the 25kV TRXLPE cable. LLDPE jacketing layer keeps the cable safe from chemical and mechanical damages that the cable could be subjected to during and after installation. Chemical damages which could otherwise affect the cable if it were not for the jacket may include corrosive chemicals whereas mechanical damages mainly refers to deformations.

Applications
This cable is intended to serve in normal wiring systems at an operating temperature not exceeding 90 degrees Celsius, 130 degrees Celsius in emergency power lines and at 250 degrees for short circuiting system. It is applied in three phase power distribution lines and is installed in duct system and direct burial.
