The conductor of this mining cable has been constructed as per the AAR 589 standard. It is a fully annealed stranded tin coated copper conductor with a cross- linked Ethylene Propylene insulation. To separate the insulator and conductor is a separator tape which also facilitates stripping. The jacketing material is a black oil resistant and flame retardant cross linked chlorinated polyethylene (XL-CPE) material. The following are the different areas this cable can be used for;

1.Flexible power leads in cable trays in sizes 1/0 AWG and larger Nassau
2.Accepted for listing as flame-resistant by MSHA
3.Diesel electric locomotives
4.Mining and earth-moving equipment
5.For use up to 2000 V as power cables in wind turbine generator applications per UL Subject 6140
6.General purpose use as flexible power leads
