Product Details

Twisted conductors of this cable are insulated with the EPR which is wrapped with mica tape, and shielded with a PETP tape which is applied longitudinally. The cable has an inner and outer covering made of flame retardant thermoplastic compounds. Inner covering is taped with a PET that has a polyamide rubber. It is screened or armored and sheathed in two layers for protection. The outer sheath is grey or blue colored for easy identification.

Features

1.Conductor
Copper conductors are shielded and wrapped with PETP tape to improve the performance of the cable. Shielding guarantees that there is no electromagnetic interference to the conductors. It helps in maintaining the conductors in their positions ensuring smooth signal transmission. PETP tape wrapping holds the conductors together hence preventing them from overlapping.

2.Insulation and Jacketing
EPR insulation is non-conducting keeping the user safe from electric shocks. It is halogen free and environmental friendly. Halogens are highly flammable chemicals like chlorides which burn easily when exposed to fire releasing too much smoke in the environment. Therefore Fire and oil cables with EPR halogen free insulation do not pollute the environment in case of fire. Ethylene Propylene Rubberized layer is also flame retardant improving the protective attributes of the cable.

3.Armor and Sheathing
This cable is sheathed and armored to strengthen it form the punishing industrial environment, which is normally accompanied by fire, diesel and oil as well as impacts.

Applications
The cable is primarily designed and manufactured for operations in fire prone locations. It is installed in onshore and offshore industrial oil drills.
