Guy and Messenger Wire
Product Description:
Guy and Messenger Wires are concentric-lay-stranded, hard drawn steel cables. Steel cables are aluminum-clad to improve resistance to corrosion. The aluminum-clad steel design offers excellent strength and can stand up to continuous harsh weather.
Applications:
These cables are most commonly used to stabilize structures such as wind turbines, radio towers, and utility poles. These types of wires are often used in railway, subway, and trolley systems, supporting the main power line. Ships and sailboats rely on this product to support free standing structures on the deck such as the mast. The corrosion resistance of this cable is ideal for tasks at sea.
Specifications:
In accordance with specifications set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials:
- Meets standard B416 specifications for hard drawn, concentric-lay-stranded, aluminum-clad steel wire.
