Product Details
Product Description:
The STOW Portable Cord 300V is a flexible cord that transmits ampacities of up to 300 Volts. The cable includes bare annealed copper conductors that are bunch-stranded and align with UL 62 for flexible cable. Annealed copper is a copper product that involves a softening process to add flexibility to the metal. Copper is the second most powerful conductive metal on earth, and with added flexibility, annealed copper offers the same conductive traits with superior maneuverability. This trait makes annealed copper a preferred conductor material when flexibility is needed. The cables are individually insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. The assembly includes fillers to hold the conductors in place within the jacket and a tissue-paper separator for easy removal of the conductors from the jacket. The exterior jacket is made of the same PVC material as the insulation over the conductors. The jacket and insulation work together to protect the conductors from abrasion and corrosion due to sunlight, water, and oil.
Applications:
This cable can be used in wet or dry locations in temperatures between -40°C and 105°C. STOW Portable Cords are extremely durable and they are built to tolerate heavy usage. This cable is often found in wiring for various large appliances such as industrial machinery and washing machines. Because of its high resistance to oil, it is used for motors, heavy-duty tools, and lighting and electrical power applications at construction sites. It can be used on ships, shipyards, oil rigs, and other offshore structures because of its water-resistant properties. The cable is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Specifications:
- In accordance with specifications set forth by Underwriters Laboratories, the cable aligns with UL standard 62, a specification that sets expectations for flexible service cord.
- This cable is UL certified sunlight, water, and oil resistant.
- STOW Portable Cord aligns with CSA specification C22.2-49 for flexible cord.
- This cable is OSHA acceptable.
