The ABS Data & Power Cable is made of  22 and 18 American Wire Gauge copper conductors. 22 AWG for communication conductor and 18 AWG for data transmitting conductor. Communication conductor is shielded with aluminum foil whereas the power conductor is unshielded. These conductors are in paired and insulated with low smoke, zero halogen.

1.Conductor’s workability
Tinned and annealed copper conductors ensure maximum performance of the cable. This is because tinned copper conductors do not succumb to corrosion easily due to their oxidative resistivity. Annealing makes them more flexible hence the ease to install. Flexible ABS Data & Power Cable is not labor demanding and requires less effort to twist and fold.

2.Conductor’s size
22 AWG for communication conductors and 18 AWG for data distribution conductors. The copper conductors measure 6.15mm in diameter, adding to 66 kg/km weight of the entire cable.

3.Insulation
The insulation is made of black Low Smoke and Zero Halogen Polyolefin material that do not pollute the environment, especially when subjected to fire. It is halogen free, a very flammable element. This layer releases less smoke to the environment when burning. Polyolefin foam insulation for data conductor is blue and white color coded, whereas red and black for power conductors. Color coding is necessary as it offers easy identification.

Applications
ABS Data & Power Cable is desired for installations in wet and dry locations within -20⁰C and 75⁰C temperatures. The cable is used in data and power transmission.
