THHN THWN-2 conductors are constructed of annealed soft copper that follows ASTM B3 and ASTM B8 standards. 

Insulation:

The cable is insulated with a thermoset plastic jacket (PVC) that is flame-retardant, sunlight-resistant, lead-free, strong, and stable. Without being too bulky, it ensures that the cable can be used in harsh conditions. The jacket is color-coded in accordance with ICEA Method 4.

Ordered several lengths of #2 and #4 wire. Most were delivered as ordered, but the white #2 was 23 ft instead of 25 ft. This made installation very difficult and more costly due to the extra time needed by the electrician to make it work. Unfortunate to be sent incorrect length.
