HW 290 Listed CIR® Power Cable Three & Four Conductor + Ground 0.6/1kV 90°C Gexol® Insulation cable is preferred in arctic conditions as it is able to withstand temperatures as low as -75°C.  On the contrary, the cable can handle high temperatures up to 90°C.  Underwriters Laboratories deems this cable safe for use in hazardous locations per UL standard 1277 and 2225.  The cable is often used on marine vessels and offshore drilling rigs as it’s durable insulation and outer jacket combat the corrosive effects of conditions at sea.  The flexible, crush and impact construction of the cable also prove beneficial for the abuse it may take at sea.  Installation within cable tray is suggested for this product, but it can be exposed and still function safely. 

A cousin to the multi-conductor HW 290 Listed CIR® Power Cable, the three and four-conductor version of this cable offers the same crush and impact resistant durability in extreme conditions.  HW 290 Listed CIR® Power Cable Three & Four Conductor + Ground 0.6/1kV 90°C Gexol® Insulation cable’s exceptional flexibility makes it a preferred product to Type MC when maneuverability is required.  The tinned copper phase and ground conductors are individually insulated with Gexol® polyolefin to shield the conductors from corrosion.  The assembly is encased in a black thermoset outer jacket that serves as protection against sunlight, oil, abrasion, and high heat.
