EPR refers to ethylene propylene. Just like the service wire discussed above this Preassembled Aerial MV cable is made of stranded Class B copper conductors which is in accordance to ASTM standards. However, its conductors have a different insulation with a unique jacketing coat.
The copper conductors are shielded with an extruded semi-conductor and then insulated with EPR that offers a maximum of 133% level of insulation that is coated with PVC jacketing on the outer surface.
