 Superior Essex cables comes in different types made differently even though they are all intended to serve as telecommunication electrical cables. This type of Superior Essex cable is designed with a bare annealed copper wire that is insulated with a thermoplastic material and jacketed with two layers of polyvinyl chloride compound; comprising of CMR and CMP respectively. CMR is the inner layer that is flame retardant whereas CMP for the outer layer that consumes with a low smoke. The assembly comes in two pair of size 24 as per the American Wire Gauge up to 400 pair.
