Product Details

A stranded bare copper conductor designed for photovoltaic power systems within the marine environments. Copper material has good conductivity and performs well in harsh marine conditions. This PV system’s cable works well in medium photovoltaic voltages and it transmits ampacities reaching up to 1,000 volts. PV systems in marine environments can provide usable solar power that reduces the need for use of fuel or generators thus saving on energy costs. It can function well in temperature ranging from -40 to 90 degrees Celsius both in dry and wet conditions.

Applications
• For use in demanding environments of offshore drilling and petroleum facilities
• The cable is used in marine environments and is designed for grounded and ungrounded interconnections of the photovoltaic power systems.

Insulation
• Cross-linked polyethylene
• The Photovoltaic PV Cable 1000 volts is insulated with cross-linked polyethylene material. Cross-linked polyethylene has a high resistance to cracking, soldering, cut through, and solvents. It is also resistant to oil, sunlight, and corrosion. This insulation material also strengthens the cable.

Specifications:
• In accordance with standards set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials, a regulations and compliance organization established over 100 years ago, this product aligns with ASTM standards B-3 and B-8. These specifications set the standards for stranded bare copper conductors and soft annealed copper used for conductive purposes.
• The cable meets Underwriters Laboratories standard 4703, a standard that measures the performance of cables for use in ungrounded photovoltaic power systems.
• The cable meets UL standard 44, a standard that measures the performance of thermoset insulated cables.
