This white cable with printed numbers on it comprises of tinned copper wires according to EN 50306-2 and an insulation that is 90⁰ C/ 105⁰ C low smoke halogen free irradiated compound. The sheath which is black in color is also a low smoke halogen free irradiated compound (S2, EM 101 to EM 104). As the overall sheath is made of tinned copper wires, its flexibility and ease of use is certain. The cable has markings on it for the sake of identification. Some of the markings include the voltage rating, lot number, manufacturer’s name, EN reference, temperature rating, number of cores and conductor size, cable class (P or E), S- cable with a metallic screen and identifier for the particular hazard level per EN 45545-1. It can be applied in the following areas;
